A tragic incident unfolded in Pithampur, Dhar district, where a 24-year-old Hindu woman was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan in a hotel room booked under the name of her lover, Junaid. The discovery was made after a video circulating on social media alerted authorities to the situation. The woman, reportedly in a five-year-long relationship with Junaid, had checked into Hotel Vatika with him, where the incident occurred.

Upon receiving suspicion from hotel staff, police were summoned to the scene. Breaking into the room, they found the young woman hanging with a dupatta. According to sources, both the woman and Junaid hailed from Mahugaon district, Indore, and had been studying together in Mhow. The tragedy is speculated to have occurred due to the woman's alleged pressure on Junaid for marriage, leading to her taking her own life on Sunday, a development known to both families.
